Early Father's Day Meal At Brewers Fayre

If you are a regular reader you will know that we do like going out for meals at our local Brewers Fayre. As Father's Day is approaching we popped along for an Early Father's Day Meal. If you have visited a Brewers Fayre before you will know that they offer a variety of Menus. A normal menu with pub meals, Chef's Counter Menu and a Kids Menu.

When we have the kids with us we almost always choose Chef's Counter. Its a buffet style menu that starts at 5pm with a different theme every night of the week. It includes Burger and Hotdog night, Mexican, Curry and on Fridays it is Chip Shop Buffet Night.

When we arrived we decided to work up an appetite and visited the outdoor play area first. Little J loves the slide although he didn't have his big brother to help him today so Daddy had to go on with him too.

Once we were ready to eat we made our way inside. I highly recommend booking a table because if your local Brewers Fayre is anything like ours it gets very very busy especially on Fridays.

The Chef's Counter is easy to use. You pay for your meal and you are given a ticket which you then give to the chef who exchanges the ticket for a plate. You then just help yourself.

There is so much choice on Chip Shop Buffet night including Fish, Battered Sausages, Mince Beef pies and lots more. You also have a variety of sides such as Chips, Curry and Peas. You can get a full list of the menu by looking on the website. I'll pop the link below.

I looked at the menu before we went and there was Chicken and Mushroom pie on it but when I couldn't see them I asked and I was told these are no longer available, also no bread or barm cakes either.

Daddy enjoyed his meal he had Minced Beef pie, chips and mushy peas. Little J had fishcake, chips and mushy peas and I ate fish, chips and mushy peas. It was delicious and I was full although Daddy and little J saved enough room for dessert.

Daddy ordered the Ultimate Chocolate Fudge Cake which looked delicious. It was served warm with ice cream. Little J had an ice cream sundae with chocolate sauce.

We each had a drink. I ordered a refillable Diet Pepsi, Little J had a fruit shoot and Daddy had a cheeky pint of lager.

The bill came to £31 which was reasonable although I am unsure how much we were charged for the childs buffet as I didn't take my receipt. The buffet was £7.49 for adults but I couldn't see a childs price on the menu. Please do check before you visit.

Overall we had another lovely meal at Brewers Fayre. I know buffet style dining may not suit everyone but like I said there is a normal menu which you can eat from. We like the buffet style as it suits us with having little J who is usually very impatient when waiting for food.

If you are treating your Daddy to a meal this Father's Day I would definitely recommend the Brewer's Fayre.
