Review | Drumond Park Foxy Pants

Edit this post
Autumn in our house means board game season. We love playing games all year round but just play more when the darker nights creep in. Little J is at the age now were he loves playing games and a few weeks ago we were sent a new addition to our collection, Foxy Pants by Drumond Park. You will be able to tell from our blog that we love Drumond Park games as they never disappoint.

Foxy Pants is a family friendly game that will provide lots of laughs and plenty of fun. The idea behind the game is you have to fill the foxes pants with chickens. When his pants are full they will drop very quickly causing the chickens to fall out and roll across the table. Your job is to catch as many chickens as you can to win the game.

The game is suitable for 2-4 players aged 4+ and includes 1 fox with pants, 21 chickens, 4 chicken coops, 1 dice and instructions.

Setup was quick and easy with just a few stickers to place. Getting the fox in to position was easy when you know how to. Firstly you have to move the fox's arms upwards. Then you turn the fox upside down and pull on the string to release his trousers. Once that is done you place his trousers around his waist and push his arms back down to hold them in place.

Before you buy I would start practising your chicken impression because the player who does the best chicken impression goes first.  In turn, the players roll the die, and put as many chickens in the Fox's pockets as indicated by the number rolled. At the end of each turn, the player must press the Fox's head once (until you hear a clicking sound). If nothing happens, it's the next players turn.

But watch out! This is one greedy fox! When his pants get too full, they might fall down. When they do, quickly grab as many chickens as you can, one by one and place them in your chicken coop. Remember, you can only collect chickens with one hand. Each chicken coop has 5 spaces, the first player to fill all the spaces in their chicken coop is the winner.

Little J absolutely loves this game and no matter how prepared you are for the foxes pants to drop,  it will make you jump. It's so fast!!

Foxy Pants has an RRP of £22.99 and you can find out more information by visiting Drumond Park. You can find it available to buy in most good toy shops and online at Amazon
