Last Update October 2025
Disclosure - We were invited to enjoy the trail for the purpose of this post. All thoughts, opinions and photographs are our own.
We have enjoyed many light trails at Christmas, but nothing beats Halloweenville at Partridge Lakes, Warrington’s magical Halloween light trail. After visiting the past two years, we couldn’t wait to return in 2025 and it’s even better this year! From the moment we stepped inside, we could tell how much effort had gone into creating an immersive experience for families. The pirate-themed adventure led us on a spooky trail around the lake, collecting golden coins along the way. We loved this new element it added a real sense of adventure, and the best part was that we got to keep the treasure chest and coins as a souvenir to take home.
There were live actors throughout the walk, bringing the story to life with plenty of fun and laughter. The staff interaction was fantastic, keeping everyone involved even the adults! At the end of the trail, we discovered a lively area filled with free pirate-themed games for all ages, which was such a brilliant way to end the evening.
Just like previous years, there were food and drink options available, with a cosy covered seating area perfect for warming up after your walk.
What to Expect at Halloweenville 2025
The Lakeside Halloween Trail at Partridge Lakes Café, Glaziers Lane, Culcheth, Warrington (WA3 4AQ) has been transformed once again into a world of spooky magic. Expect glowing pumpkins, ghostly lights reflecting on the lake, and themed scenes that tell a story as you wander through the woodland paths.
This year’s storytelling focus made the trail even more captivating. The pirate theme was woven throughout, creating a narrative that unfolded as we explored. It felt like stepping into a Halloween fairy tale filled with mystery and adventure, all while keeping the experience family-friendly and fun.
When Can I Experience Halloweenville?

Our Thoughts
We had such a fantastic time at Halloweenville. It’s clear the organisers have taken everything guests loved from previous years and made it even better. The new interactive elements, treasure hunt, and themed games added a fun twist that kept our 12-year-old entertained from start to finish.
The trail itself was easy to navigate, and even though it was busy, it never felt overcrowded. There were plenty of staff around the route, helping with photos, giving clues, and adding to the overall atmosphere.
The attention to detail in the decorations, lighting and storytelling made the walk truly magical. It struck the perfect balance between spooky and family-friendly, enough to give you a few chills without being too scary for little ones.
We’d definitely recommend Halloweenville for families looking for something a bit different this October. It’s imaginative, well-organised and a great way to enjoy Halloween together.
