Halloween Light Trails In The North West

Over the years light trails at Christmas time have become so popular however we are now seeing light trails for Halloween too. I love a light trail so any excuse to visit one is fine by me. There are a few popping up in the North West already and I'll make sure I update if any others get announced too.

Magical Woodland Experience

What To Expect
Magical Woodland Experience features BRAND NEW themes to guarantee you an evening of Halloween family fun! In the heart of the Cheshire Countryside, experience nature in all its Autumnal glory, lit up bydazzling cathedral canopies of fairy lights, interactive light features, and dancing tunnels of Borealis-style lasers.

The Halloween theme features some family favourites, including: Dinosaurs, Ghostbusters, Under the Sea, Hocus Pocus and more!

As you wander through the magical trails with crunchy leaves underfoot, watch floating umbrellas and clouds of flying lanterns fill the sky. Fully immersing you into a world of pure imagination.

Be careful: you may bump into one of the Dinosaurs where you can get up close and personal if you dare!


The Halloween Trail

What To Expect
This is new for 2024 
Embark on a spooktacular journey filled with family-friendly scares, tantalising food and drink, and spectacular activities for all ages.
For 18 enchanting nights, a mysterious light and sound show will transform the secret woods into an explorative Halloween trail. With over 100,000 lights and immersive installations, from a skeleton dinner party to an eerie haunted shack, this promises to be an unforgettable sensory adventure for the whole family.

Twig or Treat at the Glorious Glowing Lantern Parade

What To Expect
This Halloween, skip the hassle of traditional trick-or-treating... Dress up and bring the family to our magical Twig or Treat Halloween event! Stroll through the enchanting light trail, where the beloved BeWILDerwood characters await you at their doors.

See the woods as they glow, watch a new 10-minute Halloween show Twig or Treat Tales at the Storytelling Stage, and enjoy a safe, fun-filled adventure for the entire family. Psst! It’s spoooooky not scary! As this is an evening event, it's a little bit too dark to be playing, so all structures will be closed.

River of Light - United by Light

The installations are usually situated at The Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool, Merseyside L3 4AF

25 October - 5 November 2024

What To Expect
River of Light is an outdoor illuminated gallery on Liverpool Waterfront, a 2KM loop, featuring light and sound from local, national and international artists. 

This is a FREE event and the full list of installations and their locations will be revealed online in early October.

Halloween Lakeside Light Trail

What To Expect
Welcome to the enchanting world of the Lakeside Halloween Light Trail! As the sun dips below the horizon and the moon casts its gentle glow upon the tranquil waters, a mesmerizing world of Halloween wonder comes to life around the lakes. Imagine strolling along a winding path that hugs the water’s edge, leading you on a magical journey through woodland transformed by eerie and captivating lights.

Shadows of witches on broomsticks, bubbles floating out of cauldrons, and spiders crawling out of trees all lit up by magical lights create an immersive experience that feels like stepping into a living Halloween storybook.
