Degustabox May Box

Edit this post
This months box delivery seem to come quite quickly and it didn't feel like a whole month had gone past since the last one. Our box arrived later on in the day so I had seen a few photographs over on twitter of people sharing the contents. It looked like another great box.

Our Yummy Degustabox Delivery

Edit this post
As always we really look forward to receiving our monthly Degustabox because you just never know what you are going to get. I love surprises and usually within a few minutes of the box being opened something usually catches the eye of big and little J. This month was no exception.

Our April box contained

Canderel
Candler Sugarly - Tastes like sugar but with zero calories. We actually needed sweeteners so instead we decided to give it a go. It's almost gone already because we have used it in everything. Our tea, coffee and even sprinkled on our cereal

RRP - £3

Pimms
Putting us in the mood for Summer and Wimbledon the Pimms Cider had a hunt of strawberries and cucumber. I wasn't sure at first but it has a kick to it, delicious.

RRP - £2.29

Popchips
We have tasted pop chips before but they have just introduced two new delicious limited edition flavours. Sea salt, garlic and rosemary and sea salt, caramelised onion and thyme.

RRP - £1.99

Rejuvenation Water
There is usually some sore of water or juice product in Degustabox and over the months we have found some amazing brands we have never heard of and this is one of them.

RRP - £1.99

Veetee
Veto rice is the only rice we buy so we were familiar with this brand already. However we have never tried wholegrain so it was nice to give that a go, we usually stick to plain basmati.

RRP - £1.49/£1.29

Levi Roots
I've seen this brand in the supermarket many times but never bought. Looking forward to giving the Coat 'n' Cook a try.

RRP - £1

Bebeto
Bebeto Fruit Strings have been a hit here. They won product of the year for the innovative use of fruit juice and reduced processed sugars. They are yummy.

RRP - £1.99

Parle
I've never heard of this brand until we received other items a few months ago in a Degustabox. It's strange as they are the largest selling biscuit brand in the world but since we got them in the box I've noticed them.

RRP - 25p/89p

Green Lady
Just like the water we usually have some sort of tea product. I usually give them to my Dad as he loves them.

RRP - £1.99

Milkybar and Smarties
It's probably obvious that both boys dived straight for these. The new Milkybar and Crunchy was a hit with little J and big J took the smarties although little J ate most of that too.

RRP - £1 / £1.29

As always we are so pleased with this months Degustabox. You can buy a Degustabox at any time although it is a monthly box you can purchase for however long you wish.

If you fancy giving it a go you can claim £6 off by using BLDEG15

What We've Been Eating - March

Edit this post
This month we have been sampling lots of new products thanks to Degustabox and Naturelly. When it comes to food and drink I usually go in to our local supermarket and pick up all our usual brands. I think you can get stuck in a rut when it comes to food and drink, you know what you like and where it is in the supermarket so you just go for the same things each week.

October Degustabox Arrives

Edit this post
It's that time of month again when our October Degustabox arrives and we get very excited to see what delicious surprises are inside. We have received many Degustabox surprise boxes over the last year and a half and we have never been disappointed. Even when there are some items inside that I am not to keen on there is always someone who is likes it.

This month we received a lovely selection of products including

Lorina - Coconut and Lime. Daddy drank this and he had mixed feelings about it. On his first taste he said it tasted like cream soda but then he said it tasted like sun cream. He continued to drink it but said the combination was quite strange. He would like to try the other flavours though.

Appy Drinks - Spongebob Drinks. These went down well with both big and little J. I was really impressed that they contain 50% less sugar and calories than regular fruit juices.

Provena - Gluten free oat muesli.
Kabuto - Noodles
9Bar - Original Carob
The Snack Organisation - Freeze Dried Fruit (Apple)

We haven't tried the muesli or freeze dried apple yet but the 9bar and noodles were delicious. We have had both of them before.

Liberation Foods - Nuts
The Snack Organisation - Sweet Chilli Rice Crackers

We haven't tried the nuts yet but the rice crackers are delicious and low in kcals too.

Chip Strips - Smoky BBQ and Cheese & Onion.

These were absolutely delicious and we all tried them including little J. The cheese and onion were tasty but the smoky BBQ were our favourite. They did remind us of Texas BBQ Pringles.

Cirio - We are fans of Cirio anyway so we enjoyed using the passsata and chopped tomatoes.

Although this wasn't one of my favourite boxes I still love Degustabox and its nice to have a surprise each month.

If you would like to try out or find out more information you can visit Degustabox

August Degustabox Review

Edit this post
I am genuinely excited to be reviewing Degustabox again this year. I absolutely love the idea of receiving a box full of food / drink surprises each month. When we last reviewed Degustabox we found quite a few brands that we either hadn't heard of or hadn't tried yet so it was nice to explore new foods.

Mays Delicious Degustabox

Edit this post
This months Degustabox arrived during half term so Big J got to open it and have a look what was inside our monthly surprise box
The first words he said when he opened the box was "oooh crisps, oooh chocolate"
Even though he was excited about the crisps and chocolate the first thing he pulled out was Dr Oetker Cake Release Spray. We love making cakes so this will be used soon.
We received a Cawston Press drink last month and this months flavour was Cloudy Apple. There was one can in the box and we all had a taste. It was lovely and Daddy ( who loves apple drinks ) said it was the nicest apple drink he has ever tasted. It was very refreshing.
Here come the crisps and chocolate. The Kettle Chips and Elizabeth Shaw Chocolate Flutes. We have tasted Elizabeth Shaw flutes before Mint and Amaretto but never dark chocolate.
The Kettle Chips are new and are made with Sweet Potato so are orange in colour. Luckily for me Daddy and Big J didn't really like them but I thought they were delicious - more for me.
Cirio Tomato puree was used straight away to make dinner for little J.
Daddy made a nice homemade cheese pizza.
I have never heard of Garofalo pasta before but I do like my pasta so I gave it a try.
So yummy.

Daddy enjoyed his Hornsby's Strawberry and Lime Cider.

So what was in this months box?

Still a few things we haven't tried yet, but we are thrilled with this months goodies.

Hornsby's Cider - Crisp Apple and Strawberry and Lime
Taylors of Harrogate - Blackberry and Elderflower Tea
Elizabeth Shaw - Dark chocolate flutes
Cawston Press - Cloudy apple
Kettle - Lightly Salted Sweet Potato chips
Garofalo - Pasta
Raw - Sugar Free chewing gum
Finn Crisp - Crisp Bread
Dr Oetker - Cake Release Spray
Cirio - Passata and Tomato Puree

Edit this post
Last week we got a lovely delivery from Degustabox. Big J was quick to tell me that 'degusta' means 'tasting' and so we had been sent a tasting box.
