Ravensburger Stick Man and The Gruffalo Puzzles Review

This week we had an early Christmas treat when Stickman and The Gruffalo jigsaw puzzles arrived. We love The Gruffalo and Stickman so we were thrilled. The two jigsaw puzzles are by Ravensburger and are based on the popular books written by Julia Donaldson.

The Gruffalo My First Floor Puzzle has 16 pieces and little J has quite a few of this type of puzzle already so I knew he would love it and enjoy fitting it together. Each piece is chunky and colourful and perfect for little hands.

As little J loves the story so he was pointing out the characters on each piece and telling the story as he completed the jigsaw.

The Stick Man jigsaws were a little more complicated. There are 4 jigsaws in one box and each has a different picture to complete.

The way you can tell which piece belongs in which jigsaw is by checking the rim of the piece. The jigsaws have a red, yellow, orange and green border. The middle pieces can be tricky however little J was able to pick them out based on each picture.

When completed each jigsaw is the same size however the amount of pieces differ for each puzzle, 12, 16, 20 and 24. The 12 piece puzzle has bigger pieces than the 24 piece, they are smaller.

Stick Man is one of our favourite stories and when completing the puzzles with help from his brother you can't help reciting 'I'm Stick Man, I'm Stick Man, I'm Stick Man that's me'

Again the puzzles show illustrations from the book showing some of the things poor Stick Man has to go through on his journey home.
