To help celebrate #NationalTeddyBearDay I have teamed up with Build-A-Bear Workshop for a very exciting giveaway. You may have read here that Build-A-Bear Workshop are offering visitors to their store on Sept 9th the chance to purchase a limited edition teddy bear for just £5. Two additional bears will also be available for £5 each, Lil’ Vanilla Bean Cub and Lil’ Hazelnut Cub.

Visitors will be able to purchase a maximum of five £5 bears, while supplies last. For every £5 bear purchased in stores on National Teddy Bear Day, Build-A-Bear Workshop will donate one furry friend to Childhood First in the UK


Build-A-Bear Workshop are offering one very lucky Mummy 2 Monkeys reader the chance to win £100 Build-A-Bear Gift Card.

  26. I still have my fave teddies bunny&teddy (not very creative with names) but my little ones have faves too my little boy has 3 that go everywhere hes 2 nd half and my little girl whos 4 months has 2 faves one used to be her bros but got passed down :)

  49. when i was little me and my sister were obsessed with the tv programme rainbow. My mum bought us a zippy and george. I had zippy and my sister george. I took him everywhere and naturally grew out of carrying him round and he ended up ina box in the loft. Recently my mum and dad moved and as we were going through the boxes, zippy appeared! He now sits on my drawers in my bedroom. Hes a bit battered and worn but ill never put him in a box again!

  92. I had a favourite soft toy when I was a kid, it wasn't a teddy bear, but it did the same job! It was a small lamb wearing a blue sweater that read "Lambie Pie". I didn't realise how odd that was at the time, but now I realise that it could go some way to explain why I'm a vegan now!

  114. I have a red dog that my dad bought me on my 13th birthday, my nephew has sadly used it as a wrestling opponent since - hence it loosing its eyes, but I still have it on my bed. She will be 16 on the 20th of September!

  117. Yes. Years ago I was mad about Forever Friends bears. Over the years I had to get rid. However I've kept one which is a limited addition Forever Friends bear. It was brought for the Millennium so in the year 2000. It's in a lovely big red box & covered in glitter & has a certificate with whe number of which bear out of 2000 that wear made :)

I had a Steiff teddy bought by my grandparents and he was known as the special bear so he became known as "Spesh", he wasn't a bear to play with and he sat on a shelf in my bedroom, now he still sits on a shelf in my bedroom although it is a different bedroom lol. I had a Golliwog that I played with and took everywhere, I don't know what happened to him, probably got binned when they became bad taste.
