I can't believe it's two years ago since we binge watched all the Marvel movies in just 3 weeks. Neither of us have ever wanted to watch the Marvel movies before but the world had gone Marvel crazy and everyone we knew was heading to the cinema to watch Avengers - The End Game.

Captain Marvel running

As we had never watched any we decided to look up all the Marvel movies and then we decided to watch them in chronological order rather than release order. Watching the movies and storylines in this order made more sense.

Once we had our list we headed to Amazon Prime Video to begin. We had just over three weeks before End Game finished on the cinema to watch all 21 movies and we did it. 21 movies in 21 days.

If you are thinking of watching the Marvel movies then here is the list in chronological order.

If Injuries In The Movies Where Real

Disclosure - This is a collaborative post.

A photo of home alone movie
It's that time of year when we start writing down all the movies we want to watch before Christmas comes. Every year we try to add at least one new addition however we do have our favourites and Christmas just wouldn't be the same without them. Our favourite family Christmas movie has got to be Home Alone closely followed my Home Alone 2. I don't know why watching Kevin inflict lots of pain on Harry and Marv is Christmassy but it just is and we all belly laugh every time we watch it.

I actually saw a post just recently on Compare Compensation Claims that talked about movie scenes from some of our favourite movies that involved accidents or injuries. It looked in to how much compensation the character would receive if those accidents were real.

It actually lists Home Alone as one of the movies and details the injuries that occurred when Harry and Marv break in to Kevin McCallister's home.

The injuries included mild scarring, blowout fracture, severe burns, deep cuts, facial fractures and head injuries. Now when you read the injuries involved those burglars really did have a tough time from Kevin! So based on the injuries that are inflicted throughout the film to the characters they would be expected to receive £114,370 each.

There are lots of other movie scenarios but the highest paying was from a scene in Mean Girls. i'm sure we have all watched Mean Girls and you will probably guess the scene I am talking about. It's when Regina George gets hit by a bus. Now this injury causes Regina to have a spinal injury that is life changing. If this would happen in real life you could expect to receive £141,150. To be honest this doesn't seem a lot to me but like most I'm still shocked she actually survived such a horrific accident!

There are lots of other movie scenarios which I have attached below for you to browse over.

Do you know any of the movies or recognise the scenes? Do you think the expected payout for the injuries involved is enough?

Ricky Zoom TV Series | AD

Disclosure - This is a paid post and we were gifted a backpack full of goodies.

boy with a ricky zoom backpack on his back
When it comes to having some chill time little J is quite open to watching new things, so over the past week we have been watching a few episodes of Ricky Zoom. Ricky Zoom premiered on Nick JR on October 5th and every Saturday and Sunday you can catch up with the adventures of Ricky and his Bike Buddies.

I can imagine Ricky Zoom will be quite popular, we particularly like the very catchy theme tune and the message that the show conveys to little ones about friendships and teamwork. The adventures Ricky and his buddies get up to are entertaining and the characters are colourful and loveable.

Ricky Zoom lives in a town called Wheelford which is a town designed just for bikes. His parents are both rescue bikes which Ricky aspires to be one day however he still has a lot to learn. for now he enjoys heading to local adventure park, racing and learning new stunts and enjoying time with his bike buddies friends.

Meet Ricky's Friends

Loop is one of our favourite characters. Loop is a dirt bike that enjoys showing off his stunt skills at the local park however he often underestimates his abilities which leaves him getting in to all kinds of trouble. Little J thinks he is hilarious.

Scootio loves her gadgets and is head girl of the gang. She's yellow, cool and has lots of gadgets that can help the Bike Buddies when they get in to trouble. She always has a solution to the problems they may face.

DJ is the heart of the gang, always putting the needs of others before himself. There is nothing that DJ can't build and he loves to put his super toolbox to the test when needed.

So Ricky, Loop, Scootio and DJ are the four bikes that make up the Bike Buddies.

There are lots more characters including

Ricky's Family. Helen and Hank are Ricky's Mum and Dad and Toot Zoom is Ricky's younger sister.
Don and Blip Hoopla are Loop's Dad and older brother.
Mr. Rumbler is a construction and also DJ's Dad.

Not only have we been watching Ricky Zoom but we were sent a backpack filled with goodies to enjoy and we have also been enjoying the free activities on the website too.

Make sure you check out Ricky Zoom every Saturday and Sunday on Nick JR and head to Ricky Zoom for lots of fun.

Our Autumn Netflix Binge Watch List

This post contains affiliate links - purchasing an item through an affiliate link adds no extra cost to you but might earn me a few pennies.

Netflix Binge List
John and I have been browsing Netflix recently looking for new programmes to watch but also looking forward to the return of some new seasons of series that we have watched over the last few years. Check out our Netflix binge list for what we will watching this Autumn.

This Is Us

We started watching This Is Us last year and we binge watched the first two seasons but we then had to wait to watch the third season, which we did just recently. Luckily season four has already started so in a couple of weeks we will continue to watch.

If you’ve not seen This Is Us before it’s a really easy watching show that follows the lives of the Pearson family. Mainly we follow the lives of three siblings Kevin, Kate and Randall known as the big three. The show mainly takes place in the present however they use flashbacks to show the families past and most recently they’ve now started to show flash forwards of what their lives look like in the future.

At times it can be a little bit confusing as you are watching three timelines and sometimes more but you will soon get into it and we were hooked. Really looking forward to the fourth season which premiered on September 24.

The Affair

We stumbled across The Affair whilst browsing Netflix a few years ago. It follows the relationship between two main characters Noah Salaway and Alison Lockhart who meet and have an affair.

We then see the impact their affair has on their partners, family and friends. I am a huge fan of Joshua Jackson and have been since his Dawsons Creek days and he is great in The Affair, playing Alisons husband Cole. The first two seasons were fantastic however the third season lost it a little for me and I really struggled to keep up, it wasn’t my favourite season however it pulled it back in season four.  The fifth and final season is available to watch now I’m really looking forward to seeing how the show ends and what happens to the main characters.

Unbelievable

Unbelievable is a Netflix Original series and we are really looking forward to watching it, after reading some amazing reviews.

Unbelievable is a miniseries drama about a series of rapes in Washington and Colorado. The series is  actually based on a true story. It’s not our usual choice of programme but with just eight episodes I would really like to give this a try. If you have managed to watch this please do leave us a comment and let us know your thoughts.

You

Last but not least I am really hoping that the rumours are true and that You series 2 will be available to watch in October. Again this was something we just stumbled upon and it’s not usual for us to watch a psychological thriller series. After watching the first episode we had to carry on and watch all 10 episodes to find out what happened to Joe a big store manager at Moonies who stalks and then begins to date a young girl called Beck. Although there is no official date of season 2  I’m hoping that  we will be able to watch it this Autumn.

Grey’s Anatomy

So this isn't a Netflix show however I had to include it on our list. I’m sure even if you’ve never watched a single episode of Grey’s Anatomy you will most probably know of the show and what it’s about. Grey’s Anatomy is a medical drama that follows the lives of interns, residents and doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. We mainly follow the life of Meredith Grey the daughter of an esteemed general surgeon named Alice Gray. The show began in 2005 and is now up to series 16 which premiered on September 26.

Grey’s Anatomy is probably one of the best and worst things I’ve ever watched in my entire life. I have laughed but I have also cried a lot watching it so if you haven’t seen it and you’re beginning your Grey’s Anatomy journey then please have a box of tissues to hand.

So these are our top five binge watching programmes that we will be watching this Autumn. If you have any different series please do let us know as we are always looking for new recommendations.

How Many Disney Movies Have You Seen?

I often get updates from The Disney Store about new products that they have arriving in store soon. I love browsing the new arrivals and often find myself spotting a 'must have' item that I have to buy there and then. Although I don't want to buy this particular item I spotted the other night it did catch my eye and encouraged me to write this post. Disney have released a huge collection of their movies on dvd and blu ray containing 55 movies. Now this boxset is their classics and doesn't include Pixar or films such as Mary Poppins but it got me thinking out of the 55 movies how many had I seen.

boy looking at the disney castle

So the collection begins at the start and that film is Snow White which was released in 1937. I've only ever watched Snow White a few times but Snow herself and the dwarves are probably some of the more well known characters.

Next there is Pinocchio which was released in 1940, Fantasia also released in 1940, Dumbo 1941 and Bambi 1942. I think I have only watched these once in my whole life but out of these four Dumbo is my favourite. Dumbo and Bambi both pull on your heart strings something that Disney do in almost every movie nowadays.

The next six movies in the collection, Saludos Amigos 1942, The Three Caballeros 1944, Make Mine Music 1946, Fun & Fancy Free 1947, Melody Time 1948 and Ichabod & Mr Toad 1949. I haven't heard of any of these before and don't really have any interest in seeing them but if they were on TV I may give them a watch.

The next 13 movies in the collection I have seen and some of them are favourites. Everyone knows the story of Cinderella which was released in 1950. I love the story and the movie however out of all the princesses she is my least favourite. I'm not actually sure why but she doesn't really interest me.

In 1951 Alice In Wonderland was released and although I like the film it was very wacky and I would say well ahead of it's time.

Peter Pan, 1953 and Lady & The Tramp, 1955 are two of my favourites. Everyone loves Peter Pan and Tinkerbell is one of my all time favourite characters. It's odd just how popular Tinkerbell became as she doesn't speak in the movie but in terms of merchandise I have tons of Tinkerbell items.

winnie the pooh

Sleeping Beauty 1959, 101 Dalmatians 1961, The Sword in the Stone 1963, The Jungle Book 1967, The Aristocats 1970, Robin Hood 1973, The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh 1977, The Rescuers 1977 and The Fox & The Hound 1981 are next in the collection. I have seen them all and remember very clearly watching The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh almost every day when I was younger. I Just loved it when he floated up to the bee hive singing 'I'm just a little black rain cloud'.

Not seen any of the next three films. The Black Cauldron 1985, Basil The Great Mouse Detective 1986, Oliver & Company 1988.

Next to be released was The Little Mermaid 1989 and I think this was the point when I became obsessed with Disney. I absolutely love Ariel and the idea of there being mermaids under the sea when I was 9 was just magical.

It was quickly followed by Rescuers Down Under 1990, which didn't thrill me too much but then we had a run of 26 movies which made me 100% sure I was a Disney fan.

Beauty & the Beast 1991, Aladdin 1992, The Lion King 1994, Pocahontas 1995, The Hunchback of Notre Dame 1996, Hercules 1997, Mulan 1998, Tarzan 1999, Fantasia 2000, The Emperor's New Groove 2001 and Atlantis 2001 where all released over a 10 year period.

Beauty and the Beast is another favourite of mine and I could watch it over and over again without getting bored. I do have one problem with Beauty and The Beast and that's when the Beast turns back to a human, I was slightly underwhelmed. If I'm honest I would prefer the Beast!

The Lion King was another movie to make you cry within the first few minutes. Mufasa's death is probably one of the saddest things ever. Still makes me well up thinking of it.

In 2002 Lilo & Stitch was released and it is a favourite with all of us here. Stitch is crazy and funny and probably one of my favourite characters that isn't a princess.

Treasure Planet 2002, Brother Bear 2003, Home On The Range 2004 and Chicken Little 2005 followed and although they weren't the best movies they are still watchable.

The Wild was released in 2006 and we loved this movie. If I remember correctly it was either released at the same time as Madagascar or just after and it didn't do as well. I actually refer The Wild to Madagascar but that wasn't a popular verdict.

Meet The Robinsons 2007 and Bolt 2008 again were two movies that went under the radar a little as audiences were waiting for a long overdue princess movie. Luckily in 2009 The Princess & the Frog was released. Not only was this the first Princess movie in over 10 years, Tiana was the first Princess to be of African - American heritage.

Man and woman holding a tangled lantern
In 2010 Tangled was released and to this day is my all time favourite movie and Rapunzel is my favourite princess. I absolutely loved the movie when I first watched it and have seen it so many times over the last 8 years. I have an ever growing Rapunzel memorabilia collection which I love. Tangled ticked all the boxes for me, The story, the songs and I just love Mandy Moore who provides the voice for Rapunzel.

Wreck-It Ralph was released in 2012 and we've actually watched it again recently awaiting the new movie Wreck It Ralph 2 to be released.

Frozen took the whole world by storm in 2013. It was the first time that a movie had two princesses and the story wasn't about finding or loving a prince. It was about sisterly love. If you have no idea what Frozen is or you don't know all the words to 'Do you wanna build a snowman' or 'Let it go' then I'm guessing you have been living on another planet.

We have only just watched Big Hero 6 for the first time a few weeks ago even though its 4 years old. Little J is really enjoying watching movies at the moment and he picked this. We loved it and Baymax is just the cutest.

The last two Disney classic movies were both released in 2016, Zootropolis and Moana. Moana is another one of my favourites. The songs are great and I really love the storyline.

So that is the complete Disney classics movie list. I have highlighted the ones I have seen in green and the ones I haven't in blue. I have seen 41/55 which is quite good. There are quite a few in the early days of Disney that I know I will not watch but if I watch any of the others I will pop back and update.

How many have you seen?

Collaboration | What We Will Be Watching This December

Santa Claus The Movie On TV
There is nothing better than curling up on the sofa on a cold Winter's evening catching up with your favourite TV programmes. I want to have everything sorted for Christmas soon so that we can just sit back and relax in December. I have a few Christmas movies on my watch list but I also want to start a new series too.

At the moment we have so many series on the go that have either finished for this year so we have to wait till next year or we are waiting for the current series to finish so we can binge watch.

We are looking forward to watching West World Season 2 although I think we may have to have a quick watch of season 1 again because I've forgot what happened at the end.

We never did watch the last season of Once Upon A Time so that is something we could consider.

We will have to wait till 2019 to see the final season of Game of Thrones but that will definitely be worth the wait.

At the moment we are waiting for the current season of This is us to finish so we can watch that. It's probably one of my favourite programmes ever, I love it.

We haven't started a new series for ages so we've been looking at the possible choices. I quite fancy The Walking Dead as I know it's up to season 9 so we can binge watch it over the Christmas period.

There have been so many brilliant reviews of the show that I think it would definitely be worth a watch. There are so many TV apps nowadays that you can have access to all the episodes of your favourites shows just waiting for you when you're ready to watch.

We recently came across TVPlayer and for a limited time only, customers will be able to get a year’s subscription to TVPlayer from as little as £41.90 saving nearly £42. Buying just one TV DVD boxset would be more than a full years subscription, I love a bargain!

Catching up on the latest shows on MTV to Keeping Up with the Kardashians on E! – subscribers can stream 19 channels not available on Freeview, plus 61 other channels, through Fire TV.  I think our Christmas TV is sorted.

He recently was given some PJ Masks figures from his Grandparents which was perfect timing as we received PJ Masks Headquarters to review recently.
