There are just a couple of weeks left now till the end of the Summer holidays and then we will begin looking forward to our favourite seasons Autumn and Winter. I love the darker evenings, watching movies and playing board games. Little J is at the age now where he likes to play board games that take a little bit more thinking but still lots of fun. We cannot wait to play the newest addition to our collection, Horrible Histories board game.

Horrible Histories Board Game

The Horrible Histories board game is a family friendly board game that is not only lots of fun but educational too. Take a journey through history answering multiple choice questions along the way or acting out charades.

Be careful not to stumble upon Rattus and his cheeky and tricky chance cards.

6 in 1 Solar Recycler Review

Disclosure - We were sent a 6 in 1 Solar Recycler for the purpose of this post. Any thoughts, opinions or photographs are our own.

To celebrate British Science Week I have teamed up with Wicked Uncle to give away a 6 in 1 Solar Recycler kit. The 6 in 1 Solar Recycler kit is an eco-friendly kit which allows you to build six moving models using household recyclable items.

6 in 1 Solar Recycler

Powered by natural sunlight, the models are easy to make up and build using old recycled items with the various kit parts, including a solar panel, motor and instructions. Have fun recycling a drinking can to create an impressive walking robot with googly eyes or make a twin-can street roller. Reuse empty water bottles to build a bottle yacht, drumming robot and flying bird or recycle those old CDs to make the cool-looking CD racer. A great beginners' introduction to solar power technology, whilst having fun stretching the imagination and inventing your own creations. All powered up by simply sitting on the window-sill, a truly brilliant kit.

Unfortunately our giveaway is now closed.

Quizzie The Robot Giveaway

Disclosure - We received a Quizzie for the purpose of this post and also another for a giveaway prize. All thoughts, opinions and photographs are our own.

Quizzie The Robot

We are now the owners of a Quizzie Robot and he certainly cheered us up last week. Quizzie is a cute little robot standing approx 10cm tall with the cutest of faces however he does have a cheeky streak, so beware.

Quizzie The Robot

Quizzie has three game modes that are all equally as fun and easy to play.

Quizzie The Robot

Quizzie The Robot

Yes / No
Record up to five yes / no questions and then pass to a friend or family member so they can answer them. Quizzie will play back your question and the player has to guess if the answer is yes or no and press the corresponding button. If they guess correctly they can move on to the next question but if not then they will be squirted with water.

Memory Game
Quizzie will change his face and you have to remember which face he was showing you. Was he smiling, winking or sad? Guess wrong and its a squirt of water in the face for you.

Lucky Chance
This is a little like pass the bomb. You pass Quizzie between players and if he stops on you then prepare to get wet.

Quizzie The Robot

I have teamed up with Wicked Uncle to give you the chance to win your own Quizzie Robot. All you need to do is enter our giveaway below using the form and make you sure you keep popping back as I will add bonus chances to win throughout the giveaway.

Good Luck

Five Gift Ideas For Seven Year Old Girls.

This is a paid collaboration.

Little J has made it all the way to year 3 at school without being invited to a girls birthday party. He goes to all the boys parties but never manages to bag an invite to a girls party. When I asked him why he is very honest and says he just doesn't play with them. Being in a house and a family full of boys I would love to go present shopping for a girl for a change so here are some of my favourite gift ideas for seven year old girls
Bath bomb factory
Bath Bomb Factory
There is nothing better than relaxing in the bath with your favourite bath bomb. With The Bath Bomb Factory you can create your own bath bomb using your favourite colour or colours, maybe add sprinkles and choose from three delicious flavour scents strawberry, pineapple and vanilla or add all three together to make tutti frutti.

The bath bombs are fun and easy to make and will be ready in just 30 minutes. The Bath Bomb Factory is currently priced at £24.95 and is a great gift for creative kids.
Rock Painting
Hide and Seek Rock Painting
Last year we visited the park and whilst exploring in the woods we found a painted rock. I told little J that we couldn't touch it and that it had been put there by someone for us to enjoy. After that we loved looking and searching for rocks whenever we headed out. This Hide and Seek Rock painting kit is perfect for little artists who would like their masterpieces to be found.

The Hide and Seek Rock Painting kit is currently priced at £12.99 and includes 6 rocks, 6 paints, 2 fine paintbrushes and a 48 page booklet bursting with ideas for your rock creations.

Daddy Goes Shopping On Wicked Uncle

When it comes to buying toys I am a little more open minded than Daddy. Daddy obviously enjoys choosing toys for little J but they are always the same type either cars or lego. So when Wicked Uncle gave us a challenge of browsing their website and choosing some toys for little J, I gave Daddy the job.
