Having the kids at home for 6 weeks during the Summer holidays can be lots of fun but can also cause a strain on the bank balance. Keeping the kids entertained, fed and watered can be stressful but there are some places that have stepped up and are offering kids to eat for free (or £1) during the Summer holidays. I am hoping more places will also join in with this scheme and if they do I will be sure to update this page. 

Asda Cafes

Kids eat for £1 All Day, Every Day with no adult spend required.

Beefeater

Two children under 16 get a FREE breakfast with one paying adult.

Bella Italia

Children can eat for £1 with any adult main. The offer is valid between 4-6pm Monday to Thursday.

Bill's

2 kids eat free Monday-Friday from Monday 24th July-Friday 1st September.

Brewers Fayre

The same as Beefeater, you can get two children under 16 a FREE breakfast with one paying adult.

Future Inns

At Future Inns, under 5's always eat for FREE with any adult meal. 

Gordon Ramsey Restaurants

Kids under 8 eat free all day every day at selected Gordon Ramsey restaurants. 

Hungry Horse

Kids eat for just £1 on Mondays and up to 2 kids get a breakfast FREE when accompanied by a paying adult. 

Ikea 

Kids get a meal from 95p daily from 11am

M&S

Free Kids Munch Meal when you spend £5+ on non-kids food or drink at M&s Cafe.

Morrisons

Kids eat FREE all day, every day in Morrisons cafes nationwide, daily from 3pm with every adult meal over £4.49. Free Crumpets also available

Pausa Cafes at Dunelm

Children get 1 mini main, 2 snacks and a drink FREE with every £4 spend after 3pm at Pausa Cafes at Dunelm stores.

Premier Inn

Buy 1 adult breakfast from just £8.99 and up to get two kids breakfasts for free.

Preto

Kids eat FREE all day, every day with paying adults at Preto. This offer is open to children up to 10 years old - This is an ongoing offer!

SA Brains Pubs

Children can eat for £1 with any adult main. The offer is valid Wednesdays only but all day. 

Sainsbury's Cafe

Kids eat for £1 with the purchase of an adult hot main. Valid from 11:30am every day.

Sizzling Pubs

Every Monday to Friday, 3 - 7 pm you can get a kids’ main for just £1 with the purchase of an adult meal.

Table Table

Two children under 16 get a FREE breakfast with one paying adult.

Tesco

Kids eat free with a purchase of 60p+ from Monday 24th July - Friday 1st September.

The REAL Greek

Kids under 12  eat FREE every Sunday for every £10 spent by an adult.

Travelodge

Buy 1 adult breakfast from just £8.99 and up to get two kids breakfasts for free.

Whitbread Inns

Purchase one adult breakfast at any Whitbread Inns pub or restaurant and two kids under 16 eat for FREE

YO! Sushi

Kid’s eat FREE until 11th August September 2023 with every £10 adult spend.

Drinks To Enjoy In The Summer

Disclosure - We were gifted a Cranes Cider pack in return for a mention on our blog. The thoughts for this post, opinions and photographs are our own. 

I'm not much of a drinker, in fact I can go for months without having an alcoholic drink however there is something about the Summer that changes that. I think it's because we have the warm Summer evenings in the garden and family BBQ's and there are so many nice Summer tipples to choose from.

Cider is a perfect choice and we have been enjoying Cranes Cider this Summer.  There are so many flavours of cider to choose from including Blueberries and Apples, Pomegranate and Raspberries and my favourite Cranberries and Limes. A lovely refreshing drink which boasts 30% less calories compared to other top brands.

 Gin is not a drink I would ever have thought of trying until I was given a pink gin at a Party. Pink gin has become a very poplar choice over the last few years and I like to enjoy it with diet lemonade giving it a sweeter taste compared to tonic.

 For many Baileys would be classed as a winter drink however I like to enjoy a Baileys no matter what the season. Baileys Vanilla Cinnamon is a perfect choice for a cool Summer's Evening in the garden. You can enjoy it neat or over ice. We have only been able to find this flavour in duty free at the airports so we always pick up a bottle when we are travelling.

Again wine was never a drink I would choose until I tried it with lemonade last year and really enjoyed it. It's a drink that you can sip throughout the day or evening and is lovely served chilled. I prefer a rosé wine as it has a sweeter taste.

Review | The Summer Set Menu at Prezzo

To celebrate the upcoming launch of the Summer Set Menu at Prezzo we were invited along during Aperitivo Hour to sample the dishes that will be available from 18th June 2018. Prezzo at Manchester Media City is in a really relaxing location close to other bars and restaurants. The first thing we noticed was the pop up Peroni Nastro Azzurro bar. The bar which is just outside the Prezzo restaurant was very inviting with lots of tables complete with cushions and blankets so you can enjoy eating and drinking Al Fresco even when it is cold outside.

Getting Your Body Summer Ready

As soon as the weather starts to get a little warmer I start thinking about my body and how I can get it ready for Summer. Being overweight doesn't bother in the Winter as loose leggings and baggy jumpers hide my lumps and bumps, during the warmer months there is nowhere for them to hide. I have been doing Slimming World which I am enjoying, I feel like I have lots more energy and I am definitely eating healthier now than ever. The thing that worries me is that since having the boys my tummy definitely has some stubborn fat that just does not want to shift. I recently came across an advert for CoolSculpting which is a Fat Freezing Treatment. I thought it sounded crazy but I was intrigued and after reading about it in depth it is something I think I would consider.

Summer will soon be here and if you have been lucky enough to experience the warm weather recently then you will know a little bit of sun puts everyone in a good mood. We definitely feel much better when we can be out and about having lots of fun in the garden. We've had lots of play days in the garden, paddling in the pool and playing with little J's new garden toys he got for his birthday. This has been the first time ever I have enjoyed playing in the garden and it's all because we had astro turf fitted last year. Its amazing and I would definitely recommend it.

I am so excited that June has finally arrived and here is why.

1. Daddy and I had our first ever date in June. It was the 21st June which is the longest day. This year the 21st falls on Fathers Day too so it's twice as special.

2. Daddy and I were married in June. This year we will be celebrating 15 years together and 5 years married. We were married in New York City and it was the best day of my life. It was so amazing and very personal as I had always wanted to get married in New York and Daddy made my dreams come true.
