7th September 2016 - Amaluna - Cirque du Soleil

Amaluna by Cirque du Soleil has announced that it will be heading north and bringing its legendary Big Top to Manchester for the first time in six years.

This jaw-dropping performances and the signature mind-blowing stunts of the Cirque du Soleil are sure to stun when the show comes to Manchester's intu Trafford Centre this September.


9th September 2016 - Southport Air Show

The Southport Air Show is the number one family day out in the North West. Young or old, you are guaranteed to fall in love with the aviation world.

Feel the thrill of the Red Arrows as they perform daring and breath-taking aerobatics in the sky. The exhilarating fast jets leave you covering your ears and watching in awe.

At the start of the day you can see light aircraft land on the beach, something completely unique to Southport. You can wander around the Air Show Village, testing your agility on climbing frames or experience the closest thing to flying a jet in a simulator.

Do you have a limited budget to entertain the family for the entire day? Southport Air Show tickets are £6.27 for children 5-15 years, £8.36 for adults in purchased in advance. And that is not all, children under 5 are FREE.

Suitable for all ages, you can make it even more of a family occasion by upgrading to a premier ticket and watching from the Pier.  Or simply bring along a picnic and some chairs and sit on the beach. Your Air Show can be tailored to meet your needs.


9th September 2016 - World Fireworks Championships - Blackpool

The World Fireworks Championship Blackpool 2016 will light up the skies above Blackpool once again from the 9th - 30th September. This year, the fireworks championships will competed for by teams from Australia, Slovakia and the United States, as well as with a display from UK team Titanium Fireworks.

The event will gather together the crème de la crème of the world’s firework elite and promises a mouth-watering series of shows with jaw-dropping entertainment for all the family - a great opportunity for visitors to take an extended weekend break.

All displays subject to suitable weather conditions.

The event starts from 7.30pm, with the first fireworks firing from approximately 8.30pm.

10/11th September 2016 - Pirates On The Dock

Liverpool Pirate Festival returns with a renewed vision and a new name - Pirates on the Dock. Expect thrilling live action under sail and breathtaking stunts, this year interwoven with local folklore and the fascinating heritage of the Liverpool privateers. Again, Albert Dock has commissioned Fit the Bill to curate Pirates on the Dock to take this much-loved event to the next level of swashbuckling, live action drama, bringing their theatrical expertise to build upon the existing programme over the coming years.


17th September 2016 - Splatterdays

Regular arts workshops for 5 – 13 years filled to the brim with making, acting, storytelling and play sessions. Two hours of safe supervised fun with highly experienced practitioners to learn new skills, gain self-confidence and meet new friends.
