As most will probably know by now poor little J's birthday didn't go exactly as we had hoped as he had Chicken Pox. He is only just now starting to feel better now which is so sad because he missed his special day. However we did make a fuss of him for about a week later enjoying special treats, presents, visits from family and friends and lots of cake. We were sent a lovely Gruffalo party pack from House of Party which originally was meant to be for his nursery party but as he was ill we have had quite a few tea parties at home.
Little J absolutely loves the Gruffalo and the party set really cheered him up. While he was playing upstairs with his Daddy and big brother I transformed our dining table into a Gruffalo Tea Party.

Little J absolutely loves the Gruffalo and the party set really cheered him up. While he was playing upstairs with his Daddy and big brother I transformed our dining table into a Gruffalo Tea Party.
The party plates are so cute. Each plate has a coloured rim. Little J's favourite was a the orange one. It has a picture of the Gruffalo and the snake. He loves the part in the book with the snake.
The napkins are so cute too.
The cups have 'Im off to have tea with the Grufflo on'
The table cloth is really thick and has lasted really well. We just give it a quick wipe over (although its not a plastic type wipe clean cloth' and it does the trick.
Before we realised little J had the Chicken Pox we had made lots of party bags for the children in Nursery. The bags are decorated lunch type bags and fit lots in.
We even managed to get a smile from little J even though he was covered in spots. Big j enjoyed his little brothers tea party too.

It seems like there are a lot of items in the pack. I love it when a table cloth can be 'saved' for another time - it's always an added bonus.
