Wednesday Weigh In Week 2

My first week of healthy eating and exercising didn't go to well. I am still in Christmas mode and there is still lots of chocolate and snacks lurking in the cupboard. I really found it hard to stop the evening snacking too and found myself in the chocolate bag a few times whilst watching Big Brother.

To be honest I was dreading the scales this morning but I am happy to say that I lost 1lb in week 1. Not exactly what I was hoping for when I set out my challenge to lose weight but I suppose even though I've snacked I've managed to have a loss.

So for week 2 I am hoping to get in the right frame of mind now it's our first full week back at work and school. I find I don't snack as much when I am in work.

It's going to be difficult to not reach for something naughty while I am watching Big Brother. I don't watch a lot of TV in the evening but when I do I associate it with cups of tea and biscuits or chocolate.

I know I have a meal out planned this week so I am going to check the menu online before we go and choose a meal with fewer calories. I do like chicken so may go for a chicken meal with a jacket potato. I'm hoping if I choose beforehand I won't get swayed once I'm there.

I also plan to exercise this week which I failed at last week. Wish me luck

  1. It can be so hard getting back into the healthy eating and living mindset after Christmas, especially when the weather is so dull and grey. Well done on losing 1lb this week!

  2. Good luck with the coming week. I've gone back to SW and got my first weigh in tomorrow am hoping for a couple of pounds loss. It's a good idea to check the menu out of a place before u go out as then u can see what is suitable to eat in advance.

  6. It can be difficult. Especially after Christmas. As you said there are so many things lurking but at least you've managed a loss and you've still got the motivation! Stay strong!

  7. Good luck!
There is no way I could have behaved myself all the while naughty xmas treats reside and taunt me in the cupboards ... so I ate them all quickly ... gave some away, and thankfully I am now fully clear of the bad stuff. Phew!
