Alton Towers Rollercoaster Restaurant

8 January 2016

As you already know we are massive fans of Alton Towers. We are Merlin Pass Holders so are regulars at the theme park each year and it is very special to us as Daddy proposed to me there. We are always looking out for news and gossip about any new rides and attractions. I have to say I was a little shocked when I recently read the headline online 'Alton Towers to open a Rollercoaster Restaurant.

Alton Towers Rollercoaster Restaurant

The thoughts that went through my head when I read the headline were crazy. I was thinking of a rollercoaster that you ate your meal on or you had to ride the rollercoaster to get to the restaurant. I wasn't quite sure how either of my ideas would work so I am pleased to say that firstly it is just a restaurant and there is no riding a rollercoaster involved.

The restaurant is situated below a rollercoaster track and you will sit and watch your meal ride the coaster all the way to your table. How amazing and fun does that sound?

The restaurant which will be available by walkway from the Enchanted Village and Hotels has just 13 tables. The 360 degrees dining experience will see your meal taking on two loops and spiralling down an 8 metre drop.

It is hard to imagine how this will work but reports say that the restaurant is going to be open in 2016 so it won't be long before we find out.

I'm sure the new rollercoaster restaurant will be a 'must see' experience and also a very busy one to. We will try and get there as soon as we can and report back just how fabulous it is (I'm sure it will be)
