"No little J it's Mummy's iPad"

Little J has some weird obsessions. You may remember my post about his love for the washing machine. He would sit and stare at it for as long as I would let him really and he would love opening and shutting the door.
He does still like the washing machine but he has a new obsession. My iPad. Well actually it's anything like that really. iPad, phones, remote controls, calculators and computer controllers.
He just loves fiddling with the buttons or touching the screens. It was cute and funny to begin with but now it's starting to get on my nerves.
Every time I pick up the iPad or the phone he will point and make a noise, in little J's language that means "can I have it please?" If I don't give it to him he goes crazy. He will scream and lie on the floor which in little J's language means "I will continue to scream until you give me that iPad!"
We have bought him toy remote controls, toy phones and a toy iPad but he is not interested. He just wants the real thing.
He would happily sit there pressing and opening apps all day if you let him. He also loves you tube and will click on McBusted and Taylor Swift. He's deleted a few apps that I know I had because there is now space on my iPad where they once were but I have no clue what they were...haha. I assume I will remember one day.
Trying to make a phone call is impossible but he will crawl over to were you are and grab it off you.
It's so annoying and really hope this is just a phase because I can't take much more.
If I want to use my iPad I now have to use it in secret or prepare to have a tug of war with a toddler.

  1. Oh dear :) he's going to be a little computer wizard maybe when he's older? ☺️ xx

  2. Same problem here . Laptop is hidden until bedtime and he mugs the phone if anyone rings

  3. This new generation have really taken to new technology so easily. Cute!

  4. He's just tech savvy :) My monkey would never play with the pretend ones either. Now he can use my ipad properly and even get Netflix up on it (shame!) he tells me it's his and I can't take it with me! #sharewithme

  5. Lol, we live in a tech savvy world nowadays, I suppose to little ones they are justa better version of a light-up toy! Mich x

  6. Ahhh bless my daughter does the same thing and she doesn't want those toy versions either. its frustrating isn't it? Bless you. The little guy just wants to learn his techno skills earlier. Thanks for linking up to Share WIth Me #sharewithme

  7. Haha what is it with kids and technology eh! Annabelle is the exact same with her big sisters iPad...she claims it as her own! They are funny little buttons. Thanks for linking up with #MMWBH x
