Birthday Wishlist for a 12 year old boy

The Star Wars Clone Wars Season 5
Big J's birthday is coming up and he has been looking at ideas of things to get, so I thought I would create a wishlist for him.

Big J is really into Star Wars at the moment. He does this every year, he becomes obsessed with Star Wars but then he moves onto something else but it always comes back.

Xbox Cash
He also wants a new pair of trainers. He tried them on in JD Sports and I couldn't believe how much they were. Trainers are so expensive these days. I don't wear trainers so haven't bought a pair in a while but looking at the cost I don't think I will be buying any for myself in the near future :)

I know our children want to keep up with the latest trends, fashion and their friends but its hard to part with so much money for something that gets trampled through mud.

  1. I fondly remember the year that my eldest son's Christmas list comprised of a clockwork mouse, a jack-in-a-box and a dinosaur figure. The following Christmas he had started school and his list was full of the latest fads.

    1. It definitely is a case of keeping up with his peers. I dread him getting older

  2. I love star wars,I thinks it's due to my dad's obsession when I was young, I remember the play station game and Lego very well but Monopoly! I wish we had got this when I was young, although, I'd probably still buy it now, think a tactical gift might be in order!

  4. I wouldn't have any idea what to get a 12 year old boy - looks like some fantastic ideas though, I have to admit I have a bit of a soft spot for special edition monopolys. x

  5. All I can say is amazing ideas, all of which me a 25 year old woman would be happy to receive especially the Lego star wars republic gunship! I am still waiting for the day I open the Lego Death Star! haha!

And yes trainers are ridiculously expensive and you'd think kids would be cheaper as they have smaller feet, but oh no!

  6. Great Star wars themed pressies. Love Wimpy kid too! I know what you mean about trainers. We get unbranded ones for the kids from Asda (i think they're about £8 there), but once they worry about peer pressure with the brands then I don't know what we'll do! Happy birthday to your son. x

  8. I agree with you...it's crazy money when it comes to children's toys! I'm almost always a bit thrown when I go to buy Lego, one of the truly affordable toys of my day...it's a fortune now, and my kids are obsessed with it! I would go with Star Wars...a true classic! :)

  10. Cluedo! I'd forgotten about that! I must get it for my 7 year old daughter's next birthday, such a great game :-) And I can't believe the cost of trainers either - ridiculous!

  11. Thankfully my children are still very young so it's still fairly easy to buy gifts for them (although my 5-year-old is starting to get fussy already)

  12. Great list. It's hard to decide for boys so I normally resort to LEGO.
