Teenage Dirtbag

Okay so big J isn't actually a teenager yet he's still got another 14 months to go but he certainly acts like one.

When you look at big J you would think he is a lovely, well mannered, clean boy. Well two out of the three are correct. He is lovely, well mannered but the clean part I'm not too sure.

I've noticed this happening over the last few months and whilst I've tried to ignore it I can't. His bedroom is like something out of a horror movie. It is I suppose a typical teenage boys bedroom. Its smelly and dirty and no matter how much I clean it, it just looks gross.

There is allsorts just stuffed in tiny spaces, under pillows, wrappers scattered, books lying round, dvd cases and game boxes just sitting on his floor. Its an absolute pit.

So what can I do? Do I have to put up with it until he grows out of this phase?

When I was his age my room was the one place I used to go and chill. I liked it to be neat, tidy and fresh smelling. Yes I know I'm a girl and I know girls do things differently but I'm sure boys want to have a neat and tidy room too... don't they?

  1. I have memories of my brother's room being an absolute nuclear danger zone! Mine was never tidy but it didn't reach the heights of the teenage boy! Good luck managing yours ;)

  10. Oh my, my seventeen year old daughter has taken untidy to a whole new level these past couple of weeks. It is time for me to pull out my big guns - the threat to put a password on the broadband usually does the trick!

  11. Doesn't matter how many times I say to my 15 year - tidy your room please - it just stays the way it is. His room, his responsibility!! I kept his room tidy for many years - he's now grown up enough to do it himself :D
