Our Sunday Photo - 01/10/2017

Last night we headed up to Blackpool to see the Blackpool lights. It's something we do every year but usually we have our winter coats on, hats, scarves, gloves etc but yesterday we just had our rain macs on. It wasn't very cold yesterday so it didn't really feel right seeing the lights on a warm day. We are so used to walking round Blackpool with the cold wind on our face. We might have to take another trip up before they finish. Anyone else been to see the lights yet?

A Trip To Blackpool With Virgin Experiences.

Blackpool is a place that whenever I hear the name it takes me back 30 years to when I was little and I would visit Blackpool on the train with my Mum and Dad. It used to seem so far, like it was a million miles away when the reality was we could have reached it in less than a hour by car. I think because both John and I have fond memories of visiting Blackpool we have tried to visit quite a few times a year with the boys. You may have read a few months ago we visited Blackpool Sealife and last weekend we were back at the seaside resort thanks to Virgin Experiences. We were invited to choose an experience and we all agreed that a short break to Blackpool would be a perfect way to end the Summer.

Sea Stars At Sea Life, Blackpool

Having a Merlin pass is probably one of the best purchases we make each year. Being a Merlin pass holder entitles us to free entry to 32 attractions across the UK after paying a one off fee at the beginning of your membership. Over the past few weeks we have visited Alton Towers, Legoland Discovery Centre and last weekend we Sea Life in Blackpool to check out Sea Stars which is new for 2017.

Win a Family Trip To Blackpool Tower Circus

In all my 30+ years I can honestly say I have never been to a circus before. How sad is that. When I was younger I was scared of clowns and I always associated the circus with clowns. As we are Merlin Pass Holders I am now going to make an effort to visit the circus at Blackpool Tower. I have been reading some great reviews and I will definitely plan a trip this year.

If you like the circus then you will love my competition as I have a family ticket to the Blackpool Tower Circus Easter Extravaganza.
