Review and Giveaway - Disney Guess The Film

You will all know how much we love Disney so when we were asked to review Disney Guess The Film game we jumped at the chance. It actually combines two of our favourite things Disney and games. Little J is at the age now when he can happily sit and play a game. He is able to take turns and the days of throwing tantrums if he didn't win are way behind us. He was actually really excited when he saw the box as it has 'Cars' on it and he is such a huge fan of Disney Cars movies.

Setup for the game is really easy as is the rules. Guess the film is similar to Guess Who however you are guessing a film not a person.

The game includes a guess the film stand with decorative frame, 50 sheets with 100 Disney film images, dice and 20 Mickey tokens.

How To Play

Shuffle all the movie image sheets that you’re going to play with and put them in the holder at the back of the screen with the coloured strip facing upwards.

The sheets are divided into three levels of difficulty
 green - easy level
blue - medium level
 red -advanced level

You can play with all the sheets together or only use the sheets for a particular level. We actually only chose films that we knew little J had watched or knew characters from. There is actually quite a lot of films that he does know however there are images from older films such as Cinderella that he would struggle to guess.

When playing you take turns rolling the dice and open the window with the corresponding colour to the die.

Each coloured window reveals part of an image from the Disney film, and it’s down to you to guess which film the image is from. You must shout the film name out loud and the turn the screen towards you to check if you are correct. If you do guess correctly, you win a Mickey token. If you guessed incorrectly then you are frozen out of this round. If you don't want to guess you can just close the window and play will continue which the next player.

If you roll the dice and reveal a star you can open any coloured window of your choice.

The first player to earn four Mickey tokens wins the game.

Depending how good your knowledge is of Disney films each game can last up to approx 20 minutes.  You can play with as little as 2 players and it's recommend for ages 4+.

Little J understood the rules and really enjoyed playing. He got very very excited when it was his turn and he knew the answers. He actually got the movie Cars 2 by just opening one window and also Beauty and The Beast too even though he has never seen the film.

I think Disney's Guess The Film by Jumbo would be a great gift this Christmas for any Disney lovers and a really fun game for all the family to enjoy.
